The power of community to create sustainable change is undeniable. The Mustard Seed's community includes a rich diversity of staff, volunteers, clients and supporters, many of whom have witnessed the devastation of poverty firsthand.
The Mustard Seed was born out a small community of individuals serving coffee in the basement of a church. That ministry has grown and multiplied over the years, transforming countless lives with the promise of independence and hope. Now an Alberta-wide ministry, we are working hard to combat the root causes of poverty in our province.
We are building a loving, supportive community among our clients and across our cities; we are growing hope by delivering basic services, housing and employment training for those in need. We are supporting change in the lives men and women in Calgary, Edmonton and Sundre.
The Mustard Seed is committed to excellence and to intentionally following Jesus Christ through our service to men and women experiencing poverty. We focus on the whole person, we attain measurable results, and we maximize diverse funding sources and partnerships to create positive, lasting change in the lives of those we serve.
