Public Education
The Mustard Seed is committed to creating opportunities for people to explore and gain an understanding of issues of poverty and social justice and how they can respond to them.
- Volunteer and Student Placements
Threaded throughout the Street Level ministries’ programs are volunteer opportunities and student placements that allow people from all walks of life outside of the inner city to experience and identify with the issues of marginalized people.
- School Programs
Why is there poverty? Who is poor? What can we do about it? These and other questions are discussed in a fun, engaging format for junior and senior high classes.
- Explore! Seminars
A free public issues seminar, “Explore!” is held the last Monday of each month from 7-9pm and is open to everyone who wants to ‘explore’ issues surrounding poverty in a deeper way. Check out our upcoming Explore! Seminars.
- Street Retreats
Opportunity for groups of 10-20 to spend a weekend in the inner to learn more about the issues of poverty.
